Goodbye Summer....
Although you haven't heard from us in awhile, NEEDS Africa has still been busy working to help make a positive difference in the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves living in Africa.
Our bicycle campaign is still ongoing.
We have approximately 30 bicycles in storage and have been promised many others. We are determined to send a container of bicycles and books to Zimbabwe and are still collecting donations to cover shipping costs.

Earlier this year in April, we hosted our Annual Golf Day.
NEEDS Africa has reserved 10 places for the Great South Run hosted by Simply Health. It will be on Sunday 21st October and consists of a 10 mile run along the harbour in Portsmouth.
Nigel and Caron are in running - why not join the team?
Unlike previous years, Nigel has not travelled to Zimbabwe this year on the advice of our local partners. Due to the recently held presidential and national elections, it was felt that charity workers from abroad working in remote poverty stricken areas might be regarded with suspicion in the current environment.
Nonetheless, we have continued to do the work that we have been doing in Zimbabwe, including supporting 20 children living with HIV by providing school fees, uniforms and stationery, as well as food support.
As these children are about to start their final term of the year, we are faced with the added challenge as a number of them, apart from this term's fees, will also require exam fees.
