2021 was one of our most challenging years to date as, along with everyone else, we have had to find a way to cope with the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. In spite of that, I would like to say a special thank you to all those who have continued to support us and make it possible for us to support those less fortunate and in need.

2021 was a particularly painful year for us as we saw the death of another one of our partners and a close friend, Reverend Vernon Vera. In the past he was part of a NEEDS Africa team that conducted several leadership training workshops in Zimbabwe and along with his wife Sharon, facilitated a NEEDS Africa mission trip to Lesotho where leadership workshops were conducted for church and community leaders, as well as prison chaplains. He was a man with a heart for the disadvantaged and under privileged and along with Sharon, supported many children and vulnerable people.

In spite of all the challenges the year presented us, I am pleased that we were still able to give support and assistance to a number of people and organisations ranging from a charity that runs a grassroots football project for young boys to food packs for orphaned children.

As we look forward to this new year, I am confident that regardless of what we might face, together we can continue to make a difference in Africa for the better, one life at a time.

We wish you a healthy and happy 2022.
